In recognition of the American Diabetes Association’s Diabetes Alert Day, SuperCare Health proudly reaffirms its commitment to raising awareness and supporting those affected by Type 1 Diabetes. As part of this effort, we were honored to sponsor and participate in the Breakthrough T1D Walk on March 15, 2025, in Pasadena, California. This inspiring annual event united thousands of individuals, families, and organizations who share a common goal: to accelerate research, strengthen advocacy, and provide meaningful support for those living with T1D. We’re incredibly proud of our SuperCare Health team members who showed up, stepped up, and walked with purpose—thank you for representing our mission in action!
About the Breakthrough T1D Walk
The Breakthrough T1D Walk is one of the largest fundraising and awareness events for Type 1 Diabetes in the nation. Every year, thousands of participants come together at dozens of events to support life changing research, advocacy, and programs that help individuals and families affected by T1D. The Pasadena event featured a scenic walk, interactive booths, educational resources, and opportunities for the community to connect and share their experiences. Hundreds of guests stopped by the SuperCare Health booth throughout the day to learn more about our comprehensive diabetes services.
Across the country, the hard work continues! This is how much T1D Walks has raised so far!
What is Type 1 Diabetes?
Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune disease that affects approximately 1.45 million Americans, with an estimated 64,000 new cases diagnosed each year. Unlike Type 2 Diabetes, Type 1 Diabetes is not caused by lifestyle factors but occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. Individuals with Type 1 Diabetes must manage their condition with insulin therapy and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) to maintain healthy blood sugar levels and prevent complications.
